Peak is here and articles such as this reinforce that we are about to see major changes in lifestyle no matter where you are in the world. If humankind will react positively and be proactive to this fact is questionable. Basically, you can break it down to the behavior patterns of individuals. Is an overweight person with a refrigerator full of ice cream going to only eat a tiny dish a day? Unlikely. You truly can looks at the behavior of the individual as a microcosm of society as a whole. America did not reduce consumption of gasoline till individuals were hit in the wallet or purse. We are a species out of control. We do not or can not control our own behavioral patterns. In regards to humankind adapting to climate change to change energy consumption patterns by significantly reducing the burning of fossil fuels, this is highly unlikely. As a society, we do not have that level of control and never have. Your best hope of adapting to global, peak oil production is as an individual through your personal behavior and preparation. In summation, humankind does not have the cognizance to react to the crisis that is now at our doorstep.

Oil wars, famine, mass confusion is about to take place if nothing...if we do not do everything in our power to hedge the depleting oil or if you would like super costly oil ($300 per barrel). This is going to happen, hold on, stay sane. People lived with out oil for a long time we can and will do it once more. Will we go back to caves and walk around with clubs...NO! We will change the way we do everything. We are going to have an evolutionary jump in the way we live, be happy to be apart of this historic time in history because you, your family, friends are going to live it. This can not be averted!
